Terms of Service

1. About these terms

This website and these services are provided by AJH Website Management, a partnership of James Stewart, Alexander Gilligan, Harry Gilligan, with an address for service at 44 Honey Head Lane, Honley, Holmfirth, HD9 6RW(“we”, “us”). By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

2. Using this website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. All content on it — text, design, code, graphics and branding — belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission. We may update or withdraw the site at any time, and we don’t guarantee it will always be available or error-free.

3. Our services and how a contract is formed

We design and build websites. Prices shown on this site are an invitation to enquire, not a binding offer. A contract is formed only when we have confirmed the scope of your project and you have paid the deposit. At that point these terms, together with the agreed scope, form the agreement between us.

4. Prices, deposits and payment

• Package prices are one-off build fees in pounds sterling (GBP). We are not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added.
• To secure your build slot you pay a 25% deposit up front. The remaining balance is invoiced after we have agreed the final scope, and is payable as set out in your project agreement (typically on completion, before the finished site is handed over).
• Work that is outside the agreed scope may be quoted and charged separately, with your approval first.
• We may pause work on overdue invoices. Payments are handled securely by Stripe.

5. Your responsibilities

To keep your project on track, you agree to:

• provide the content, images, logins and information we need, in good time;
• confirm you own (or have permission to use) any materials you supply; and
• review and respond to drafts and requests for approval promptly.

Delays in providing what we need may affect the timeline, which is an estimate rather than a guarantee.

6. Revisions and delivery

Each package includes the number of revision rounds stated for it. Additional revisions can be arranged and may be chargeable. We’ll agree a target delivery window with you, and keep you updated if anything affects it.

7. Intellectual property and ownership

Once your project is fully paid for, ownership of the final delivered website design and content we create specifically for you transfers to you. Until then, all rights remain with us. We retain ownership of any underlying tools, code libraries and know-how we reuse across projects, and the right to show the finished work in our portfolio unless we agree otherwise in writing.

8. Third-party services

Your site may rely on third-party services (such as hosting, domains, payment providers and plugins). These are subject to their own terms and fees, and we’re not responsible for their availability or actions.

9. Cancellation and refunds

Your rights to cancel and any refunds are set out in our Refunds & Cancellations Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Our liability

We’ll provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with a project is limited to the fees you have paid us for that project, and we are not liable for loss of profit, business or data, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. None of this affects the statutory rights of consumers under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

11. General

We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page applies to your order. How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy. These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction.
